The __init__.py file of the source folder contains the bootstrap code to initialise the framework, the ftrack menu, etc... Is the entry point where the bootstrap file points to. Source might also contain the utils folder which some specific utilities for the DCC as how to doc a dialog in a panel, or how to execute a plugin in the main thread of the DCC.
